Alessandra Pastore has 15 years of experience in the international audiovisual industry.After graduating in Film History and Critique from the University Alessandra worked as line producers on historical, social and current issues documentaries with the Italian production company Fabulafilm from 2004 to 2011. All documentaries have been co-produced and released on international level. Within the production company Alessandra has also been responsible for movies budgeting & cash flow, call for applications and reporting for regional, national and supranational funds. Since 2006 she has also been involved in the setup and coordination of a number of international vocational training programmes for emerging producers and professionals, supported among the others, by the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme, Eurimages, Council of Europe, EuroEast Culture. She is CFO of MAIA Associazione Culturale, specialised in organisation of training initiatives & workshops. Alessandra is frequently called to lecture on training initiatives both in Italy and abroad. She is specialized in lectures for emerging professionals mostly about development timeline & strategy, Legal, Budgeting & financing plan, Financing international strategy, Packaging & short documents, Marketing & promotional strategy for projects from the development stage to distribution, Pitching & markets strategy. Since 2019 Alessandra is the pitching trainer for the selected projects of the Torino Short Film Market. Alessandra also consults with production companies on development and co-production issues. In particular, she has been international co-productions coordinator, responsible for supranational funds (among which Creative Europe MEDIA and Eurimages), development strategy, packaging & markets strategy. Alessandra has sat in 2019-2020 the board of the Italian Ministry of Culture as member of the evaluation committee for the Minority Co-production scheme. She is currently called to sit in evaluation committee of regional film funds, festivals & training initiatives. Alessandra is the founder and manager of LAND-Local Audiovisual Network & Development, a format to develop professional skills and networks in local environments in connection with the work of Film Commissions and Regions. Since 2016, she is Head of Programme at When East Meets West, the co-production forum in Trieste (Italy) for feature docs & fiction projects with a strong international potential in terms of coproduction, distribution and circulation. Starting from 2019, Alessandra is the Head of Industry of Meeting Point – Vilnius, the industry Work-InProgress event for debut directors, under the Vilnius International Film Festival – Kinopavasaris. Starting from 2023 she is Coordinator of SIC-Venice International Film Critics' Week at the Venice International Film Festival. Alessandra is member of the European Film Academy
